Vieilles Pierres.

G'day!! Gee been a while since I posted last. Hasn't this year flown by!!

Finished up 'Vielles Pierres' (french for old stones) this weekend. Rather chuffed how it turned out. Especially seeing it was supposed to be an English carriage house!! Ha!! Ended up being from somewhere closer to the equator and why not. It's much warmer. I am selling this one through my Etsy shop. I made it small so not as much space is needed to display it. I used battery lights as well so no need for a power point and no power cords to hide and not trip over. It is 57cm high, 27cm wide and 38cm deep.

Time Flies

Has been so much longer than I thought since my last post!! Have definitely been loving the slower country life. I realized just last week that I hadn't put up the last of the Laurel photos and I have almost finished my new project. So here is the last of the Laurel pics and a couple of my more recent project, La Luce. An Italian inspired country style of home.

The butchers block was store bought but I added some metal braces to the corners (spent tea lights) and a fax drawer front. Towel rail on the side.

I made the sink out of a nails packet. Sprayed it with a couple of coats of appliance white and bingo!! William Morris wallpaper and fabric for the sink curtain.

The delft blacksplah I printed out on glossy photo paper and used a stylus to make the grout lines.

I made this little stove such a long time ago. One of the first things I ever made.

La Luce, would so love a house like this. I'll post more pictures soon. I have almost finished it.

Be well!!

Laurel Reception Room

Life has settled back into comfortable routine, 2016 is well underway.  Kids are back at school and it is a little too quiet with out them. These pictures are of the front room of Laurels.

I knew I wanted a busy pink colour fabric for the curtains and also knew my chances of finding such a fabric would be hard. But a wallpaper design that was exactly what I wanted and printed it onto fabric. I did however find a great William Morris fabric which I used on the seat of the settee. I got it here from SydneyStyle. I used men's handkerchief for the white curtains.

The vase of sunflowers I purchased from Minicler.

Thank you for looking and be well!!

Attic Rooms - Laurels.

A hoi hoi again. This lot of photos is of the three attic rooms. Little girls room, play area in front of the fire and the main bedroom.

In case you missed it in my last blog post the beautifully knitted items are from Frederica, LindenRoseMiniatures. Such wonderful work. I cant knit in RL size!!! I just stab myself and those unfortunate enough to be sitting next to me. I don't know how she does it. The perfectly folded sheet sets I got from Elizabeth Slinn at StudioEMinis. There is a smaller set on the little girls bed as well as a larger set on the bigger bed. If you haven't found her blog yet, do!!

Thanks again for stopping by! I will add photos of the ground floor next. Be well!!

The Old Laurels.

Hope you all had a fab Chrissie and your New Year has started off well!! I have started mine with many good things one being a house finished!! Ah what a feeling, happy dance!!! I have a few (ha) pics and will post them on a couple of separate posts. I'll mention other artists work where I have used them and add links where I can. Everything else was made, bashed, found and wrangled by me

All the plants except for the Lavender I got from Georgie at TheMiniatureGarden. There are so many kits to choose from and are very easy to do. They look great too! I especially like the pumpkin and had to use it. The Lavender I got from Marianne, you can find her Etsy shop here, https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Marianne26. I adore her Lavender plants and have bought many.

All the way to the front again.

I bought the beautiful little cardigan with singlet and the bonnet from the lovely Frederica at LindenRoseMiniatures. I'll post photos for the top floor next.

Thanks for looking and be well!!
