Good day and a Happy New Year to you all!!!

I did some more refurbishing to the Livre before it started it's long journey south. I have added a couple of pics. I added more colour and clutter. Some pies, cakes and puddings I had made. Chopping boards and recipe cards. Kitchens are great, there is so much you can add.

I added a pot filler tap over the range. I just used a bought tap, two small eyelets and the plastic tubing from a cotton bub. Glued it all together before painting black and then grey. To hold it in place I just made a teeny hole where I wanted it and then just pushed a skinny nail through the back wall and into the plastic ear bud tube. It fitted so snug it didn't need gluing. There is also a roll of foil. Again some more ear bud plastic and real foil just wrapped around it and a little bit of glue to hold it.

I hope 2015 has started well for you. Health and happiness to you and yours!!

  3. This kitchen is stunning,
looks as real with these cute accessories. I very like a lute, which stands in the corner of the room - beautiful thing. I see your dresser is identical to mine, and I'm still considering - to paint or not to paint it? :-)

  4. Such gorgeous pics again Carrie! I am struggling a bit with placement of accessories in my Mountfield kitchen. I will need to study your kitchen to see where I am going wrong! Thanks for the inspiration.

  5. This is such an Amazing project! And you have thought of So Many Perfect little details... I can't imagine there was anything missing! LOL! I love the compact yet well organized and well-used feeling there is... everything near to hand and well loved... just the kind of house we all wish to inhabit! You have a special gift for putting together such an inviting and timeless atmosphere! I hope you will have another project soon to entertain us (and yourself) with!

  10. Oh Carrie! I LOVE this kitchen and all of the layers and layers of details that you have added and yet not one of them is misplaced. I love the filler tap over the stove, a Great idea and I may have to "borrow' it one day. :D A Very Clever way to make it and secure it, too.
But it is the copper cup hanging on the wall sconce that has given me the biggest smile! How totally REAL to use that arm for another good purpose. It is these bits of realism that make gazing at each of your photos, the Incredible Pleasure that it Always Is!
    Beautiful Work!

  11. Hi Carrie, you will have more time soon , no doubt, as your children start school again.
The kitchen is great , love all the details, yes particularly the pot filler was a brilliant idea. Egg cup is so sweet and lots of preserves!
Your photos are so clear so it is a pleasure to peruse your shelves. Actually we can enlarge the photos more than we could see it in real life.
Also. I am a follower of your blog but I have not received notification of your posts . Wondering if that happens to others too?
    All the best for 2015.
    Regards Janine
