The Old Laurels.

Hope you all had a fab Chrissie and your New Year has started off well!! I have started mine with many good things one being a house finished!! Ah what a feeling, happy dance!!! I have a few (ha) pics and will post them on a couple of separate posts. I'll mention other artists work where I have used them and add links where I can. Everything else was made, bashed, found and wrangled by me

All the plants except for the Lavender I got from Georgie at TheMiniatureGarden. There are so many kits to choose from and are very easy to do. They look great too! I especially like the pumpkin and had to use it. The Lavender I got from Marianne, you can find her Etsy shop here, https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/Marianne26. I adore her Lavender plants and have bought many.

All the way to the front again.

I bought the beautiful little cardigan with singlet and the bonnet from the lovely Frederica at LindenRoseMiniatures. I'll post photos for the top floor next.

Thanks for looking and be well!!

  4. Hello Carrie,
How gorgeous! I just love the way you finished the house. The colors are wonderful and the landscaping you added really create a great deal of realism and magic. It is a stunning project! I love the bird house...it is just the perfect touch! All the best for the new year, and I look forward to seeing more of your incredible work.
    Big hug

    1. Hello Giac! I must admit I had almost forgotten the birdhouse! Found it the day I had finished the Laurels. Two real life house moves had helped me to forget more than a few things. But finding them is like Christmas morning all over again. xx

  6. Hi Carrie and Happy New Year to you!
It Thrills me every single time you do a post about your "Old Laurels"! There is sooooo much atmosphere inside this Delightful cottage and your choice of the unconventional reds and blues and violets make this a visually SNUG and COMFY little cottage!
I think that it was very clever of you to add a half wall in the little girl's bedroom, because it gives you the benefits of a wall without obstructing the view inside. And thank you for mentioning the stacked linen of mine. Truly, it pleases me No End, to have some of my work featured in of one of my very FAVORITE doll's houses! :D
And Of Course I also LOVE your compact English Country garden and the way you've made the outside look "lived in" which is a feature which I also greatly admire. Oh I could go on and on......
How Wonderful Old Laurels is- from its roof top to its foundation, everywhere you look both inside and out .... It is BEAUTIFUL :D
